This initial call or video session generally lasts 10 to 15 minutes, and is an opportunity to decide if you want to schedule an in-person appointment. It’s normal to feel nervous about this first call. However, rest assured knowing that you’re taking the first step in your mental health journey. This is also an opportunity for you to properly assess fit and feel confident that you found the right therapist.
Session length: 55 minutes. The primary goal of individual therapy is to increase understanding of one’s thought and behavior patterns to help increase function and well-being. In therapy, people can learn how to effectively manage stress, interpersonal difficulties and troubling situations.
Session length: 55 minutes. There are many reasons why you are trying couples counseling. Not everyone’s problems will look the same, but identifying your specific problems is an important step. You may go into therapy thinking that your problem is all based on intimacy.
Sometimes, you may need additional support in between your sessions. This is charged at a fee of $40/per each 15 minutes of impromptu/unscheduled supportive therapy. This is will be calculated and immediately submitted at the end of the call/video.
Text-based/Email Communication
Communication with your therapist takes thoughtful responses and time/effort to compose. Responses over 150 words and/or back-and-forth communication are calculated at $10 per/150 word count.
NOTE: Payments are due within 24-hours of session. Cancellations with less than 24-hours incur a full session charge.
